I. Wuhan Statistical Yearbook一2017 is an annual statistical publication with dense information. It comprehensively and systematically reflects the achievements of Wuhan economic,technological and social development in 2016 making use of a large number of statistical data.
11 .This annual publication contains twelve parts such as features,including General Survey,Population and Employment,Industry,Consumption of energy,Agriculture,Investment in Fixed Assets,Public Utilities,Transportation、Post and Telecommunications,Trade,International Cooperation,Tourism,Finance、Banking and Insurance,Price Indices and People’s Livelihood,Science and Technology,Education,Culture,and Main Statistical Information on the administrative areas of Wuhan. There are brief introductions at the beginning of each part so that readers are able to use correctly statistical data in
it. In addittion,Explanatory Notes on Main Statistical Indicators are provided at the end of each section.
111 .Most of the statistical data in this yearbook is based on all kinds of 2016’s reports. The statistical data of main historic years since 1949 for some key indicators are listed in it. Some of the data are from sample survey.
IV .According to the up一to一data statistical information and the newnational stipulation conncerned,some data in this yearbook has been revised after verifying a number of important statistical data released in the past. Therefore,readers should use data in this yearbook in case that it is not in accord with this yearbook.
V. The notes concerning the whole table are placed at the upper part of the book,while the notes concerning the individual indicators are at the bottom of the table.
VI .The units of measurement used in this book are international standard measurement ones.
VII. Notations used in this book:“一”indicates no data in the item,“…”indiGates that the figures are not large enough to be measured with the smallest unit in the table,the blank indicates that the data aren’t available,“#”indicates the major items in the tabel.“*”indicates“see the footnotes below”.
VIA .The calculating errors of some data in this yearbook caused by the unit conversion aren’t adjusted mechanically.

It covers data for 2016 and key statistical data in recent years and some historically important years at the national level and the local levels of province, autonomous region and municipality directly under the Central Government.

Main Social and Economic Indicators of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR); 27. Main Social and Economic Indicators of Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR). Two chapters listed as Appendices are Main Social and Economic Indicators of Taiwan Province and Main Social and Economic Indicators of Other Countries/Regions.

To facilitate readers, the Brief Introduction at the beginning of each chapter provides a summary of the main contents of the chapter, data sources, statistical scope, statistical methods and historical changes. At the end of each chapter, Explanatory Notes on Main Statistical Indicators are included.

III. The national data in this book do not include those of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Macao Special Administrative Region and Taiwan Province, except for the divisions of administrative areas, the area of the national territory and forest resources and otherwise specified. In accordance with the principles set down in the Basic Law of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the Basic Law of Macao Special Administrative Region, statistically Hong Kong, Macao and the mainland of China are three mutually independent regions, each following its own and different statistical systems and legal provisions in conducting statistical operations independently. Statistics on the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Macao Special Administrative Region as included in this yearbook are provided by the Census and Statistics Department of the Government of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Statistics and Census Service of the Government of Macao Special Administrative Region respectively; and are edited by the National Bureau of Statistics.

  1. Eastern region, central region, western region and northeastern region in the Yearbook are divided as following:

Eastern 10 provinces (municipalities) include: Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Shandong, Guangdong and Hainan;

Central 6 provinces include: Shanxi, Anhui, Jiangxi, Henan, Hubei and Hunan;

Western 12 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) include: Inner Mongolia, Guangxi, Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Tibet, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai, Ningxia and Xinjiang;

Northeastern 3 provinces include: Liaoning, Jilin and Heilongjiang.

  1. The units of measurement used in the Yearbook are internationally standard measurement units, and newly published and implemented Product Categories are uniformly used.
  2. Please refer to the newly published version of the Yearbook for updated historical data. Statistical discrepancies on totals and relative figures due to rounding are not adjusted in the Yearbook.

VII. Notations used in the Yearbook:(blank space) indicates that the data are unknown, or are not available; “#” indicates a major breakdown of the total; and “*”or “①”indicates footnotes at the end of the table. About the notations in the chapters of Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR, please refer to the brief introduction in relevant chapters.

VIII. In comparison with China Statistical Yearbook 2016, following revisions have been made in this new version in terms of the statistical contents and in editing: Of the chapter “Population”, table named Age-specific Fertility Rate of Childbearing Women by Age of Mother and Birth Order is deleted. Of the chapter “National Accounts”, indicators of exports of goods and services, imports of goods and services are added. Of the chapter “Prices”, according to changes of classification of retail price indices and consumer price indices in statistical survey and report systems, corresponding adjusts are made. Of the chapter “Foreign trade and Economic Cooperation”, indicators of export and import of goods in RMB are added. Of the chapters “Education”, “Public Health and Social Services” and “Culture and Sports”, some detailed indicators and tables are deleted.

Ⅰ. Guangdong Statistical Yearbook 2017 (hereinafter referred to as the Yearbook) is an annual statistical publication, which reflects comprehensively the economic and social development of Guangdong Province. It covers data for 2015 and key statistical data in some historically important years since 1978 at the provincial level and the local levels of city, county and district.

Ⅱ. The Yearbook contains twenty-two chapters: 1. General Survey; 2. National Accounts; 3. Population; 4. Employment and Wages; 5. Investment in Fixed Assets; 6. Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation ; 7. Energy, Resources and Environment ; 8. Government Finance, Banking and Insurance; 9. Price; 10. People’s Living Conditions; 11. Agriculture; 12. Industry; 13. Service Enterprises Above Designated Size;14.Construction; 15. Transport, Postal and Telecommunication Services; 16. Wholesale , Retail Trades and Tourism; 17. Hotels, Catering Services and Tourism; 18. Education, Science and Technology; 19 Culture and Sports. 20.Public Health, Social Welfare, Social Insurance and Others; 21. Main Economic Indicators of Economic Regions; 22. Main Economic Indicators of Counties (County-level Cities) and Districts. Meanwhile, four chapters are listed as appendices: 1. Main Statistical Indicators of Some Provinces and Municipalities; 2. Main Statistics of Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions; 3. Main Statistical Indicators of Taiwan Province; 4. Ⅲ. The data in the Yearbook are mainly obtained from regular statistical reports and sample surveys conducted by the statistical bureaus of all levels of government and the Survey Office of the National Bureau of Statistics in Guangdong. Some data are collected from the departments of the central government and the provincial government. Data in the appendices are compiled from statistical publications published by the National Bureau of Statistics and other sources.

Ⅳ. The pearl river delta, east wing, west wing and mountainous areas in the Yearbook are divided as following:

The pearl river delta include Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Foshan, Jiangmen, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Huizhou and Zhaoqing.

The east wing includes Shantou, Shanwei, Chaozhou and Jieyang.

The west wing includes Zhanjiang, Maoming and Yangjiang.

The mountainous areas include Shaoguan, Heyuan, Meizhou, Qingyuan and Yunfu.

Ⅴ. The units of measurement used in the Yearbook are internationally standard measurement units, except that the unit of cultivated land and sown areas uses”mu” with regard to the Chinese tradition.

Ⅵ. Please refer to the newly published version of the Yearbook for updated historical data.Statistical discrepancies on totals and relative figures due to rounding are not adjusted in the Yearbook.

Ⅷ. In comparison with Guangdong Statistical Yearbook 2016,following revisions have been made in this new version in terms of the statistical contents and in editing: Of the chapter of “National Economic Account”and “Energy”, main indicators of Gross Domestic Product and Energy are added. Of the chapter of “Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation”, data of foreign investment by industry and country are added. Of the chapter of “Prices”, Consumer Price Indices by category adopts the new category, and Produce Price Indices for Industrial Products by sector is by the industrial classification standard of 2011’s version. Of the chapter of “People’s Living Condition”, data of income and expenditure by pearl river delta, east wing, west wing and mountainous areas are added. Of the chapter of “Industry”, some new products are added. Of the chapter of “Education and Technology”, data of R&D expenditure by city. Of the chapter of “Main Economic Indicators of Counties (County-level Cities and Districts)”, data of districts are added. According to the new departmental reporting system, some professional contents and indicators have been adjusted.

Beijing Education Yearbook 2016

1.Beijing Education Yearbook is a large scale specialized reference book.Under the instructions of Education Commission of Beijing Municipal Committee of CPC and Beijing Municipal Education Committee,it is Compiling Committee of Beijing Education Yearbook(Beijing Education Yearbook Editorial Office)who is responsible for compiling this book. 2.With articles and entries as the basic literature type,this yearbook is mainly consists of entries.It uses narratives,making efforts to be brief and to the point.There are color pictures before and in the articles.There are index at the back of the article. 3.This Yearbook has been keeping published annually since 1997.Each yearbook records previous year’s new incidents and events happened in Beijing educational system,which offers both references for decision making and information for educational planning and development.In addition,it also helps people from both home and abroad to understand and doing research about the status quo of Beijing education. 4.This Yearbook embodies the panorama of Beijing education situation,including not only those educational departments directly under Beijing Municipal,but also all level all kinds of educational sections of different districts under central education ministry. 5.The 2016 Education Yearbook was compiled by categories,which has Education Management,Education Schooling and Education Service three major sections.Specifically,this yearbook contains 24 categories,chronologically including generality of Beijing education,major events records,integrated management,education supervision,preschool education,elementary education,higher education,vocational and adult education,private education,moral physical and aesthetic education,scientific re-search,teaching staff building,students management,enrolling and testing,communication and cooperation,the collaborative development of education in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,district and county education,social groups,institutions directly under Beijing municipal commission of education,references,specialized articles and records,research and report,statistics and appendix,among which,’the collaborative development of education in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei’ is newly added this year. 6.The 2016 Education Yearbook includes ‘Beijing Education New Map(2016)’,which,in the format of a map,presenting the new changes and fruits of 2015 Beijing deepening comprehensive reform in elementary education. 7.The Appendix Section uses chart to indicate the basic educational development of Beijing different districts for the readers’ convenience. 8.In this Yearbook,those working units included which have changed their names during the editing period would still be referred to as their primitive names with the new names in the following brackets.Due to layout limitations,abbreviations are used in referring to party and government institutions in the yearbook.Abbreviations are used in refering to the name of the Institutions in captions of the colour pictures.Details could be found in the Appendix Full name & Abbreviation table of some institutions. 9.This Yearbook contains a namelist of chief leaders of Beijing Educational Administrative sections at various levels,all of whom held office in 2015 and the appointment and dismissal are noted separately. 10.All the articles,entries and pictures in this yearbook are provided by specialized staff from all types of educational administrative sections and examined carefully by their managers and people in charge.The Statistical Material of Beijing Education is provided by Development Planning Department of Beijing Municipal Education Committee. 11.In terms of the currency in this yearbook,RMB is referred to as Yuan and the common names are used in referring to other currencies. 12.Every annual statistic involved in this yearbook takes the statistical criteria of 31st December 2015 as standard and other non annual statistics take the ones from statistical or operating departments as standard. 13.This Yearbook describes educational happenings between 1st January 2015 and 31st December 2015.Some of its content may dated back a minor deal according to its practical circumstance.

Ⅰ.Guangzhou Statistical Yearbook 2016(abbreviation as the Yearbook below)is anannual statistics publication,reflecting comprehensively the economic and social developmentof Guangzhou.It covers maily statistics in 2015 and some selected major data series inhistorically important years,at municipal level and local level of district. Ⅱ.The Yearbook contains the following 17 chapters:1.Gerneral Survey;2.Population;3.Employment and Wages;4.Investment in Fixed Assets;5.Energy;6.Government Finance,Financial;7.Price Indices;8.People’s Livelihood;9.CityConstruction;10.Agriculture;11.Industry;12.Construction;13.Transport,Postaland Telecommunication Services;14.Domestic Trade;15.Foreign Economy andTourism;16.Science and Technology;17.Education,Culture,Sports,Public Health,Social Welfare,Environmental Protection and Others.The data listed in the Appendix aremain economic indicators of China,Guangdong province,Hongkong Special AdministrativeRegion and Macao Administrative Region. Ⅲ.The data in the Yearbook are mainly obtained from regular ststistical reports andsample surveys conducted by statistics bureaus of all levels of government and the Surney officeof the National Bureau of statistics in Guangzhou.Some data are collected from thedepartments of the provincial and municipal government. Ⅳ.Since 2014 Guangzhou administrative division has been adjusted.The originalHuangpu and Luogang districts have been merged into the new Huangpu district.The originalZengcheng county-level city has been renamed Zengcheng district,the original Conghuacounty-level city has been renamed Conghua district.Since 2015,Guangzhou cityadministrative division has included 11 districts,which are Liwan district,Yuexiu district,Haizhu district,Tianhe district,Baiyun district,Huangpu district,Panyu district,Huadu district,Nansha district,Conghua district and Zengcheng district,excluding county-level cities. Ⅴ.From 2014 urban and rural integrated household survey is carried out in Guangzhou,statistical indicator system of urban and rural integrated household survey is changed greatly. Ⅵ.The prices used in calculation in the Yearbook are current prices except noted. Ⅶ.In any case the data of this book shall be deemed as the authoritative ones. Ⅷ.In the Yearbook all caculating errors of some total and regular figures for thedifferency of measuring units haven’t been adjusted.
