Ⅰ.Shanxi Statistical Yearbook 2022 is an annual statistics publication,which reflects comprehensively the national economic and social development of Shanxi province.It covers data for 2021 and key statistical data in some historically important years at the provincial level and the local levels of prefecture and county.To meet the need of international exchange,this yearbook is made in both Chinese and English. Ⅱ.The yearbook contains the following twenty parts:1.General Survey;2.Population,Labor Wagesand Social Security;3.Price;4.People’s Living Conditions;5.Public Finance,Banking and Insurance;6.Energy;7.Investment in Fixed Assets;8.Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation;9.Agriculture;10.Industry;11.Construction;12.Real Estate;13.Whole sale and Retail Trade;14.Hotels,Catering Services and Tourism;15.Transportation,Post and Telecommunication Services;16.Education,Scienceand Technology;17.Culture,Sports,Public Health and Environmental Protection;18.General Survey of Cities;19.Cities at Prefecture Level;20.Counties,Cities and Districts at County Level.To facilitate readers,Statistical Charts reflecting total trend are attached at the beginning of each chapter,and Explanatory Noteson Main Statistical Indicators,a brief introduction about the meaning,statistical coverage,statistical methods and historical changes of main statistical indicators,are provided at the end of each chapter. Ⅲ.Comparing with Shanxi Statistical Yearbook 2021,following revisions have been made in this new version:In the chapter of Price,new table of Producer Price Indices for Farm Products is added and the table of Indices of Agricultural Productive Materials by Category of Commodities is deleted;In the chapterof Construction,related sector group is adjusted;In the chapter of Hotels,Catering Services and Tourism,new table of Tourist Attractions above 4A Grade is added and the table of Foreign Exchange Earnings from International Tourism is deleted;In the chapter of Education,Science and Technology,relevant tables and contents of education are adjusted according to the latest statistical report system;In the chapter of General Survey of Cities,relevant contents are adjusted. Ⅳ.The statistical coverage and explanation of indicators in this yearbook are the same as the current national statistical report system.The data in this yearbook are mainly obtained from annual statistical reports,and some are from sample surveys and related departments. Ⅴ.For the convenience of the readers,brief notes concerning some indicators about their changes in meaning or coverage are given at the lower part of relevant tables.In case of some statistical data issued before being inconsistent with this publication,take the data in this publication as correction. Ⅵ.The units of measurement used in this yearbook are international standard measurement units.Statistical discrepancies due to rounding are not adjusted in this yearbook. Ⅲ.In comparison with the Fujian Statistical Yearbook 2021 following revisions have been made in this new version in terms of the statistical contents and in editing: 1.Years mainly uniformed justment 2000、2005、2010、2020、2021 five years.2.According to the new situation of the annual report system changes,some statistical indexes of the text and the adjustment of the standard. Ⅳ.The data of Jinmen county are not included in this yearbook except for some additional notes on it. Ⅴ.Data source,calculation scope for important statistical data in this yearbook are noted in each chapter. Ⅵ.The units of measurement used in this yearbook are national standard measurement units. Ⅶ.The statistics data published in the past is re-verified in this book.Any discrepancy between the data of this book,it prevails. Ⅷ.As a result of the different unit choices,part of the total or relative data produce calculation error in the yearbook,we do not mechanical adjustment. Ⅸ.Notations used in the yearbook:”Blank Space” indicates absence or ignorance or insufficient decimal place of data indicator;”#” indicates a major breakdown of the total. Ⅹ.The indicator of production value in this yearbook is calculated according to prices of the year.Growth rate and indices of production value is calculated according to comparable prices. Ⅺ.Growth rates and indices in this yearbook are calculated by “level approach”.

Ⅲ.Most of the data in this yearbook sources are from annual statistical reports of government statistics agencies and business agencies,another part sources from sample survey. Ⅳ.Comparing with the content of Inner Mongolia Statistical Yearbook-2021,we changed the content as follow: 1.The data of the Animal Husbandry Survey Yearbook from 2013 to 2017 were revised according to The Third National Agricultural Census; 2.In order to match the urban employment population data with province,we have a unifor mmeasure of the number of employment population from 2021.Meanwhile the data of Composition of Employed Persons at Year-end by Type of Industry and Residence and Region are added; 3.Due to the impact of THE COVID-19,travel agencies didn’t provide international travel services in 2021.The relevant data couldn’t be included in this Yearbook. Ⅴ.The units of measurement used in this yearbook are internationally standard measurement units. Ⅵ.The historical data involved in the yearbook are based on the newly published data of the yearbook;the calculation errors of partial total number or relative number have not been mechanically adjusted due to using different units.
