EDITOR’S NOTES:
I. Jilin statistical yearbook 2014 is annual statistics publication, which cover very comprehensive data series for 2013 and some selected data series for historically important years in whole province, cities (pretecture) and counties and therefore, reflects various aspects of social and economic development.
II. The book is organized into two parts: Special reports and Statistics data. The statistics data is separated into 19 parts, ie. l.Synthesis; 2.National Economic Accounting; 3.Population; 4.Employment and wage; 5.Investment in Fixed Assets; 6.Foreign Economy trade and international Tourism; 7.Production and Consumption of Energy;8.Public Finance, Banking and Insurance; 9.Price Indices; 10.People’s Livelihood; 11. Urban public utilities and Environment; 12.Agriculture; 13.Industry; 14.Construction; 15.Transportation and postal; 16.Wholesale, Retail trade and Catering services; 17.Education, Technology and Culture; 18.Sports, Public Health and others; 19. General survey of city (State) and county (City). In the appendices listed: 1. Main indicators of National economy of three province in the Northeast Area( 2013); 2.The Companies “A Table”; 3. Expla natory notes for Main statistical indicators.
Ⅲ.The units of measurement used in this book are internationally standard measurement units.

Therefore, reflects various aspects of Jiangxi’s social and economic development.

The yearbook contains the following twenty-two chapters, General Survey; Population; Employment and Wages; Investment in Fixed Assets; Energy; Price Indices; People′s Livelihood; General Survey of Cities; Environment Protection; Water Resources and Meterology; Agriculture; Industry; Construction; Transport, Post and Telecommunication Services; Domestic Trade; Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation; Tourism; Financial Intermediation; Insurance;Real Estate;Education, Science and Technology; Culture, Sports and Public Health; Social Welfare and Other Social Activities; Main Statistical Indictors on provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and Notes of Jiangxi Statistical Events in 2013. For readers’ convenience, in Brief Introduction at the beginning of each chapter, main coverage of this chapter, data sources, statistical coverage, statistical methods and historical changes are concerned. Ⅰ.Inner Mongolia Statistical Yearbook is aregular large scale statistical reference book published yearly. With a vastamount of statistical data, the yearbook reflects various aspects of Inner Mongolia’s economic society, science and technologydevelopment. Ⅲ. Most of thedata in this yearbook sources are from annual statistical reports of governmentagencies, another part sources from sample survey.

Ⅳ.Comparingwith the content of Inner MongoliaStatistical Yearbook-2013, we changed the content as follow:

1. Some of the published data since 2005 arechanged in this yearbook according to the second national economic census, therefore, data in this yearbook are reliablewhenever you find different data in other publications. The data of the thirdnational economic census will be Published in nextyear’s yearbook.

2. According to the reform of statisticalmethod in other industries, some data and tables of People’s Livelihood areadjusted.

Ⅴ. The unitsof measurement used in this yearbook are internationally standard measurementunits.

Ⅵ. Statisticaldiscrepancies due to rounding are not adjusted in this yearbook

Ⅰ.Hunan Statistical Yearbook-2014 is an annual statistical publication, which reflects comprehensively the economic and social development of Hunan. It covers data for 2013 and key statistical data in some historically important years at provincial level and local levels of cities, prefecture and counties.
Ⅱ.Hunan Statistical Yearbook-2014 includes a special issue and statistical figures. The special issue are Government Work Report and Statistical Communiqué of Hunan Province on the 2013 National Economic and Social Development. The statistical data contain the following 21 parts: 1. Regional Economy; 19. Main Economic and Social Statistics Indicators of Cities and Prefecture;20. Main Economic and Social Statistics Indicators of Counties and Cities (districts); 21. Main Economic and Social Indicators by Provinces (Municipalities and Autonomous Regions). To facilitate readers, at the end of each chapter, Explanatory Notes on Main Statistical Indicators are included.
Ⅲ. Sinse the data of the Third National Economic Census are still under review and accumulation, some index data are preliminary statistics, and some index data are not available.
Ⅳ. According to Classification of National Economic Industrics, relevant statistics are increased or adjusted to enrich relative Statistical Indicators in different degree.
Ⅴ. All of the value indicators in this book are calculated by the same year’s prices. All of the indices are calculated by the constant price. Explanatory notes are provided behind the list in which if there are changes. Data of the book are composed by computers.
Ⅵ. The book is edited according to the frame and standard of China Statistical Yearbook. The indicator explanatory notes are edited according to China Statistical Yearbook, and the units of measurement are internationally standard measurement units. The notations are standard notations of China Statistical Yearbook.
Ⅶ. Figures in Government Work Report, the communiqué and Chapter 21 are preliminary statistics.
Ⅷ. Notations used in the yearbook: “#” indicates the major items of the total; “(blank)” indicates that data are not available or the figure is not large enough to be measured with the smallest unit in the table.
Ⅸ. Based on our limited level, perhaps there are some mistakes in the book, we welcome all candid comments and criticism from our readers.
