Ⅰ.Shandong Statistical Yearbook is an annual publication,which covers very comprehensive data and reflects various aspects of Shandong’s social and economic development.It can also work as an important and historical reference book which will play a great role in comprehending and studying the basic conditions of Shandong,making policies,and guiding the development of society and economy. Ⅱ.The yearbook contains the following three parts:part one feature,part two statistics and part three appendixes.Feature mainly includes Government Work Report,Shandong Statistics Communique and Summary of Shandong Statistical Undertaking,comprehensively reflecting the development of society and economy and showing the achievements in statistics of Shandong Province. Part 2 contains the following twenty-two chapters,1.General Survey;2.National Accounts;3.Population;4.Employment,Wages and Social Security;5.Investment in Fixed Assets;6.Foreign Trade and Tourism;7.Energy;8.Government Finance and Banking;9.Price Indices;10.People’s Livelihood;11.City Construction;12.Natural Resources and Environment;13.Agriculture;14.Industry;15.Construction;16.Service Enterprise Above Designated Size;17.Transport,Postal and Telecommunication Services;18.Wholesale,Retail,Hotels and Catering Services;19.Education,Science and Technology;20.Culture,Sports and Health;21.Public Management and Social Services;22.Main Indicators of Counties(Cities and Districts at County Level). In brief introduction at the beginning of each chapter,main coverage of this chapter,data sources and statistical coverage are concerned.In addition,explanatory notes on main statistical indicators are provided at the end of each chapter,giving a brief explanation of statistical indicators,such as definition,statistical methods,statistical coverage and statistical scope. Appendix contains the main economic indicators of some other provinces(municipality),international statistics and Events of Shandong Provincial Bureau of Statistics. Ⅲ.Data used in Government Work Report and Shandong Statistics Communique are preliminary statistics.data in other chapters is official annual data.Data in Shandong Statistical Yearbook are all verified and should be based on this standard. Ⅳ.In Shandong Statistical Yearbook,statistical definitions,statistical coverage,statistical methods and prices are adjusted according to the current state statistical standards,and all changes have been noted at the end of the table or in the explanatory notes.Data in value terms are calculated at current prices if there are no notes.Statistical discrepancies on totals and relative figures due to rounding are not adjusted. Ⅳ.The statistical coverage and explanation of indicators in this yearbook are the same as the current national statistical report system.The data in this yearbook are mainly obtained from annual statistical reports,and some are from sample surveys and related departments. Ⅲ.Compared with Hunan Statistical Yearbook-2019,this yearbook mainly makes the following revision and supplement in content and chapter structure:based on the comprehensive survey data of the fourth National Economic Census,the relevant data of “national economic accounting” since 2003 has been revised;The sales price index table of housing,the basic situation table of comprehensive statistics of environment,the added value table of agriculture,forestry,animal husbandry and fishery,the output table of forest products,the operation situation table of commodity trading market,the R&D personnel situation table of industrial enterprises above a certain scale,and the situation table of scientific and technological institutions of large and medium-sized industrial enterprises were deleted.The table of family planning indicators of cities and states,the table of internal expenditures of R&D funds for industrial enterprises above a certain size according to their purposes of expenditure,and the table of internal expenditures of R&D funds for large and medium-sized industrial enterprises according to their purposes of expenditure are deleted.The tables of family planning indicators and legal entities in different industries in different counties and districts were deleted;According to the revision of the current statistical investigation system and the adjustment of departmental financial statements,the relevant indicators and tables have been increased,decreased and adjusted,and the relevant statistical data have been enriched to varying degrees. Ⅳ.The 2019 national Accounts data in this yearbook are express data.Due to detailed investigation of the territory,the arable land area is temporarily short in 2019. Ⅴ.All of the value indicators are calculated by the same year’s prices.All of the indices are calculated by the constant price.Explanatory notes are provided behind the list in which if there are changes.Data of the book are composed by computers. Ⅵ.The book is edited according to the frame and standard of China Statistical Yearbook.The indicator explanatory notes are edited according to China Statistical Yearbook,and the units of measurement are internationally standard measurement units.The notations are standard notations of China Statistical Yearbook.
